This was our 7th hike this summer. We went to Wedgemount Lake a 15 km round trip.
As you can see, the view as you get over the last rocky outcropping is simply magnificent! I remember last year when we had done this hike I had run for the top down to the lake in an expression of pure joy! I felt the same way this time! Isn't it gorgeous?

If you are interested the start of the hike is 10 km from the Village lights in Whistler.
You need a four wheel drive to make it to the parking lot!

Treat yourself to a lovely hike right in your own backward: Mount Strachan at Cypress Bowl.
It is a one hour and half hike from the parking lot to the second peak and from the top you have magnificent views of The Lions, Bowen and Gambier Island, Grouse Mountain, Cathedral Mountain!
Is is an adventurous hike as it is quite steep but taking it one step at a time without rushing makes it easier! Be present and mindful and be ready to be astonished!

To do tired or not to do tired!Blog #2

Written by Lise Desrosiers Wearing Friday, 20 August 2010 03:43

I was coming down this steep hill at the end of a long hike when I realized that I had taken a wrong turn at the very top. I had to hike back up and suddenly I thought” I am so tired” and I felt all energy leave me.

I told myself “ I don’t do tired. What do I do?”

So for the last hour of this 7 hour hike, having just climbed back up I did “energy” instead of “tired”.

How? By recalling to my mind only words that generated energy such as: enthusiasm, joy, thrilling, ecstatic, joyful, loving, compassionate, you get the picture!!!

It worked! All of a sudden I see our car in the parking lot and it felt like I had started 5 minutes ago!

I did tired at 9pm and went to bed!!!
